Have you ever had an encounter with someone famous, like a sports or entertainment industry celebrity out on the streets of Rochester, Minnesota? I have a couple of times, but I was not able to shoot a photo. Bill Walton, NBA basketball star and broadcaster is the first to come to mind for me. How about you?

This question came to mind for me last week Monday as I was in Kansas City for the Robert Plant show at an opulent downtown KC theater. Shortly after parking the car I made my way down N.13th Street into their famed Power & Light District.

After spotting a white van/transport, the usual mode of transportation and get-away for many a rock star, I scanned the area, also noticing venue security posted at a side door. I knew if I just chilled for awhile I just might be able to get a photo of an absolute rock & roll Icon! Yes, a real paparazzi moment on the streets of KC actually happened. Six feet away from greatness.

Have you had a similar experience on the streets of Rochester, or anywhere?
(not counting formal meet & greets this time....total surprise encounters!)
