Back in October 1990, I entered a contest offered on a Milwaukee radio station called, "Lazer103 Rock-Jock." The contest was simple, really; write them a letter & tell them why they should pick my entry. So, I wrote the letter and I WON, and the rest is history! Ten days later I would have my first radio gig. Since then I have worked in radio part-time (around my full-time jobs) in Beaver Dam and Appleton, WI, Tuscon, AZ, and for the past 14 years, right here in Rochester, MN. I enjoy going to concerts and supporting live music, My absolute favorite band live is ZZ - TOP, who I've seen LIVE 30 times, uncle Ted Nugent 26 times, and many more artists/bands multiple times. Some of my other 'favs' are Stone Temple Pilots & Black Sabbath. And yes, I have met both Scott Weiland & Ozzy. Add Metallica, Smashing Pumpkins, Pink Floyd, along with Neil Young & Foo Fighters, to new acts like Royal Blood and Greta Van Fleet. Basically, I like anything that ROCKS with a hard guitar edge. I have been to over 500 concerts, and I don't plan on stopping anytime soon. I enjoy my gas grill, growing heirloom Hungarian peppers on my deck, playing acoustic guitar & harmonica, along with my full-time job working outdoors at a local, well-known garden center on 2nd St. in Rochester. Working here at Z-Rock is a true passion, and it is still as thrilling and fun as it was on my first day in radio. Oh yeah, I am a proud papa, grand dad, and five-year Navy aviation veteran, too! LONG LIVE THE MUSIC...........LONG LIVE ROCK! \m/\m/
