Initial reports indicated people were trapped inside of the burning structure. Responding firefighters encountered a fully engulfed building when they arrived at the scene of the fire.

Canadian Pacific Kansas City Railroad spokesman Terry Cunha says the collision occurred around 6:30 Monday morning.

The criminal complaint, filed in Olmsted County Court on Friday, alleges he was traveling as fast as double the speed limit in an attempt to evade the Rochester police officer.

A news release issued by the Faribault Police Department said the incident began shortly after 10:40 Saturday morning.

The State Patrol responded to the first crash shortly after 3:45 p.m. and was called to the second crash shortly before 8 p.m.

Preliminary reports indicated the residents of the home were not there but a dog was.

Rochester police first encountered the victim at the hospital. Law enforcement made an arrest in the case on Thursday.

The State Patrol indicates a car and pickup truck were involved in the crash. The injured man and woman were riding in the same vehicle.

The charges say the victim lost vision in one of his eyes as a result of the assault.

Along with drug activity, the annual report also includes information about use-of-force incidents and DWI’s.
