Mankato Metal Band Does Duet With A Little Kid
I'm ashamed to admit that I didn't realize this already existed.
It's been exactly a year since this tune was released, and it's something everyone should hear! I mean, come on, who doesn't love mixing things that obviously don't go together?
I'm talking about little kids and metal. I know, I know - some people have reservations about this, but I think it's hysterical. You'll notice two things when you listen to Face Of Oblivion's "Aokigahara".
- ALL OF THE BPMS.
- This little kid can get damn near demonic.
Decibel Magazine explains, "The song title refers to a place at the base of Mount Fuji (Japan) known as the Suicide Forest or Sea of Trees that has served as a destination for those seeking to meet one’s maker. A child’s voice heard in the song adds a distinct chill to the pummel."
This, my friends, is why I'm dubbing them Minnesota Brutal this week.
Face Of Oblivion is based out of Mankato, and they are certainly death metal its Minnesota finest! Face Of Oblivion is Jesse Watson - Vocals, Chris Hensley - Lead Guitar, Brandon Bohlman - Rhythm Guitar, Cole Gunther - Bass, and Eric Baumgard - Drums.
