Rochester Murder Suspect Booked Into Jail
Columbia, SC (KROC AM News) - A check of the inmate roster of the Richland County jail in South Carolina shows Rochester murder suspect Renard Carter has been booked into the facility.
He had been in a hospital after being shot by officers in Columbia, S. Carolina Sunday night.
He was being sought as the suspect in the murders of his Rochester girlfriend, their unborn child and her 2-year-old daughter. Their bodies were discovered Sunday but they may have been murdered a few days earlier. Police say the 29-year-old Carter had been living with the victims.
He reportedly went to S. Carolina to kill a former girlfriend.
The criminal complaint filed in the Rochester murder case indicates Carter apparently recorded the strangulation death of his girlfriend and posted the video on social media.
There is no word yet on when he is expected to be returned to Rochester to be arraigned on three murder charges.
