If I sounded a little groggy on the air today, it's because I was too busy to getting my face ripped off while watching Megadeth in St. Paul last night! Roy Wilkins was on fire in response to how great these guys were.

Firstly, I noted the camaraderie among "the Dave's", Kiko and Dirk. They've only played together for a few months, but you wouldn't know it. Fist bumps were exploded, and menacing riff offs were exchanged. I'll also note how cool it was to see not one but two drum and bass solos courtesy of Dave and Dirk Verbeuren.

I learned a few interesting things too, when Dave Mustaine's onstage banter occurred. Their song "She Wolf" was about "an ex friend's ex wife" and "Holy Wars" was written after an unfortunate incident in Ireland. Dave was bummed that someone was selling fake Megadeth merchandise in Ireland one show, he found out this man was selling the merch "for the cause!" ....so, Dave intro'd a song by saying it was "for the cause!" and the room promptly divided into Protestants and Catholics. Go figure.

Vic Rattlehead made two appearances , one of which was during "Peace Sells". Check out the set list here.
