The Minnesota Vikings and Green Bay Packers have had a heated rivalry since 1961, when the Vikings joined the National Football League. There have been countless memories over the years involving big plays, blown calls and player antics such as the Randy Moss moon seen 'round the world. I think Joe "Butt Cheek" Buck is still disgusted.

However, something unique even to this rivalry happened at U.S. Bank Stadium Sunday after the Vikings defeated Green Bay 34-31 on a game-winning Greg Joseph field goal as time expired. Yes, it's official, we now have P.A.-gate.

As you likely know, Paul Allen, aka P.A., is the hometown broadcast voice and face for the Minnesota Vikings. Apparently, after the Vikings win over the Packers on November 21, he and fellow broadcasters Ben Leber and Gabe Henderson were wrapping up their Between The Lines segment, when a Packers coach decide to take little cheap shot.

It seems this Packers coach went up to P.A. and said, “You better not talk into that microphone and give your team any credit.” Needless this to say, a coach trash-talking a broadcaster isn't the norm. In, fact P.A. mentioned it has never happened in his two decades covering the team.

As one would expect, it did draw a response, which you can watch in all its glory below.

I love that after saying he'd take the high road, he decided to go in a bit of a different direction. In case you missed it, here's what he said:

“I’m gonna take the high road on it and say I’m very impressed by the Green Bay Packers, finding a way to win 8 games despite all those injuries, A-Rodg’s toe, Covid, Lying, and everything. I’m not going to say to that coach what I wanted to say like ‘you can go ahead and put Eric Stokes on Justin Jefferson for the rest of his career, and like he did in 2019 when he was with LSU and Stokes was with Georgia, he [Jefferson] killed him, and he killed him today, and he will kill him every single time they meet. Best of luck to you guys the rest of the way, and quite honestly, I hope you lose every single freaking game the rest of the year.”

This is whole sequence is another funny and bizarre chapter in the Vikings/Packers rivalry. I can't wait to see what happens next when the rivalry continues on Sunday, January 2, when the Vikings travel to Green Bay for a prime time showdown.

10 Minnesota Vikings Kickers Since 1998

The Minnesota Vikings will head into the 2021 season with yet another new kicker, after releasing Dan Bailey in March. The Vikings certainly have had their fair share of kickers in recent years. Let's take a look back at who has kicked for the team since 1998. Some of these guys may be better than you remember, but there are likely a few you'd like to forget.
