Every year, Forbes creates a list of the most valuable sports franchises out there. This year, the Vikings made a HUGE leap. The second-most by any NFL team, in terms of percentage.

The Vikings, ranked 30th this year, had a 38% change in value. Yes, the stadium probably had a lot to do with it, but it is still encouraging to see a Minnesota-based team make a huge jump on the list. The Vikings are the only Minnesota team on the list, yes none of the other ones cracked the Top-50.

The Vikings, valued at $2.2 billion, came up just a bit shorter than the Oakland Raiders (who relocated to Las Vegas) and Los Angeles Rams (who recently relocated to LA) in terms of percentage changed. (The Raiders jumped 47% and the Rams 100%).

For the Vikings, this is still awesome to see. Yes, it is absolutely nothing to do with the on-field play. What is most interesting about this list is that there are 3 soccer teams in the Top 5. The Dallas Cowboys took the No. 1 spot, and the New York Yankees took the second spot.
