Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) -  Did you notice? Gasoline prices in Rochester have been slowly rising in recent weeks and they are now at their highest point since August 2015.

And industry experts predict $3 a gallon prices by the time the summer driving season begins.

The average price for regular in Rochester was at $2.65 a gallon as of Monday morning.

The GasBuddy Minnesota website is reporting the statewide average for regular was $2.54 a gallon Monday morning. That’s up 7 cents from a week ago. Prices were 20 cents lower at this time a year ago. As of Monday, the lowest prices in the state were in northeast Minnesota. The highest prices were in the Twin Cities metro.
