Austin, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Twin Cities area man who ran over and killed an Austin man while driving across a farm pasture a year ago went before a judge in Mower County today and entered a guilty plea to a criminal vehicular homicide charge.

27-year-old Nathan Brooks and the victim, 30-year-old Alex Tapp, were both attending a party at a rural property west of Austin last April 16th when the deadly incident occurred. Brooks left the scene, but later surrendered to authorities. He is scheduled to be sentenced July 12th.

Brooks is currently serving a three-year prison sentence for a felony DUI conviction stemming from a traffic stop that occurred in 2015.
