Assault at Rochester Park Results in Probation & Jail Time
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News ) - A 19-year-old Rochester woman has been granted a downward departure from state sentencing guidelines for a felony assault conviction stemming from an attack on another teenager at a Rochester Park last summer.
Breannah McKee was ordered to spend almost 3 months in jail and spend the next seven years on probation. She was also given a stayed prison sentence that could be imposed if she fails to meet the terms of her probation.
McKee earlier admitted to a second degree assault charge in exchange for the dismissal of two other felony counts including a first-degree aggravated robbery charge.
She was among the four people charged with the attack on an 18-year-old woman, who told police she was threatened with a gun and dragged out of a car at Slatterly Park. The victim was then punched and kicked in an attack that was recorded on a cellphone video that was obtained by police.
