7000 People, Fighting With Snowballs, In Minnesota?
A Guinness World Record was set in January in Seattle, when 5,834 people had a huge snowball fight during Seattle's Snow Day. There are some folks from Minnesota who are striving for 7,000 and want to break this record.
The 'Beer Dabblers', a group started to nurture Minnesota's craft brewing industry hope to have a huge snowball fight, and in order to qualify for the record, must beat the already obtained number of people, as well as hurl the snowballs at each other for at least one minute.

Project manager Joseph Alton says snowmaking machines will be at the ready if the weather doesn't cooperate. But he says State Fair officials plan to stockpile snow between now and then.

In December of 2009, there was a crowd at the University of Wisconsin-Madison that had a snowball fight there with reports of stolen lunch trays. 12-17 inches of snow had fallen the night before. Here is a video of the local news footage about that event. They were not able to break any records that day.
