5 Arrested in Rochester Gun, Drug Bust

Rochester, MN (KROC-AM)- Five people, including a 16-year-old boy, were arrested over the weekend after Rochester Police made a gun and drug bust.
Police Capt. Casey Moilanen says officers executed three search warrants as part of the investigation into a May 2 shooting that happened in the area of 11th St. Southeast and 5th Ave. Southeast. Police reportedly recovered seven firearms. Investigators say at least one of the guns was stolen and two of the guns were ghost guns.
Police also located suspected counterfeit pills, methamphetamine, marijuana, and counterfeit money. The suspects are being arraigned in Olmsted County Court on Tuesday.

- Moel Wade 2nd attempted murder, 2nd assault, 1st aggravated robbery, aiding an offender
- De'Monte Simmons aiding an offender, misdemeanor counts of fleeing police, illegal possession of firearm
- Jahmaul Earthman felony drug possession, felony possess/receive stolen property
- Milton Smith 2 felony drug charges, gross misdemeanor illegal possession of firearm
- 16-year-old 2nd attempted murder, 1st aggravated assault, aiding an offender
