Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - The Rochester Fire Department is reporting a happy ending to a water rescue operation today.

Emergency responders rushed to the Willow Creek Reservoir in southwest Rochester around 8:30 this morning after receiving a report of a woman and 3 dogs in the water and needing assistance. When the call came in, it was reported the woman was in chest-deep water and unable to get back to the shore of the reservoir.

A Fire Department rescue boat with 3 firefighters was launched into the reservoir and found the woman and made her way into shallower water and was resting against a tree. 2 of the firefighters climbed out of the boat and helped the woman and her dogs get into the boat to be transported to shore.

She was then evaluated by firefighters and Mayo Clinic Ambulance paramedics, who determined she did not require medical treatment.
