Police Release Name of Missing Rochester Man
Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) – The search for a missing Rochester man will resume on Saturday.
The Rochester Police Department earlier today released the name of the man who went missing Thursday near Riverside Central school.
RPD has identified the man as 46-year-old Andrew Nevenheim.
He was reported missing around 8:45 PM by his family. Police were told Nevenheim had gone to an area in the 400 block of 7th Ave SE to play with his dog in Bear Creek. His dog and bike were still there when his family went to check around 6:30 PM.
Here is how the current of Bear Creek looked Friday morning.
Police Capt. Casey Moilanen says “it appears Mr. Nevenheim was near the water and may have drowned.” Moilanen says there was no sign of foul play or anything suspicious. At this point, his disappearance is being treated as a missing person case.
A search of the fast-moving water was to resume at noon Friday.
Anyone with any information that would be helpful in locating Nevenheim is asked to contact the RPD at 507-328-6800.
