Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A woman is facing a possible DWI charge after crashing her car near Chatfield Tuesday.

And she may be facing another charge for assaulting one of the ambulance crew members on the way to the hospital.

The Olmsted County’s Sheriff Office was notified by a woman who witnessed the wreck.

The woman said she was driving to Chatfield on County Rd 10 around 5 pm when she saw another vehicle coming up behind her at a high rate of speed. The woman was concerned the other vehicle was going to rear-end her car when it suddenly left the road and rolled several times.

The 51-year-old woman driving the car that crashed had to be extricated. She was then taken to the hospital by a Chatfield ambulance.

The sheriff’s office says for some reason the woman kicked one of the crew members in the chest, knocking her over. She is also accused of spitting in the worker’s eyes.
