Two Rochester Assaults In Two Hours
Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - Rochester police are investigating two assaults that happened within a two-hour span.
A 54-year-old man told police he was walking in the parking lot of the mosque in the Meadow Park Apartments neighborhood around 10:30 pm Wednesday when he was attacked by two men. The man says he was punched in the head several times and the men ran off with his keys. The victim was taken to the hospital to be checked out.
The other assault took place in Cooke Park.
A 22-year-old woman told police she was walking through the park around 12:30 am Thursday when two men came up from behind and one of them began hitting and kicking her. She said the two ran off with her backpack, which contained clothing items and a phone. She went to the hospital for treatment of her injuries.
The victims were not able to give good descriptions of the attackers.
