Owatonna, MN (KROC-AM News) - The State Patrol responded to two deer-motorcycle collisions in a span of less than 16 hours today and yesterday.

The most recent incident occurred about 5:30 Tuesday morning on Highway 14 near Owatonna, where a motorcycle driven by 64-year-old Ward Freese of Blooming Prairie ran into a deer. He was transported to a hospital in Owatonna with non-life threatening injuries.

The other crash occurred Monday afternoon in northern Minnesota. The State Patrol says 74-year-old Billy Aery collided with a deer along a highway near Thief River Falls just before 3pm. The Baudette man and his 72-year-old wife, Rebecca, were rushed to a hospital in Fargo with life threatening injuries.
