The Minnesota State Patrol is reporting three fatal traffic wrecks that occurred on Monday.

The Minnesota State Patrol is reporting three fatal traffic wrecks that occurred on Monday. One happened in Winona County. The State Patrol says a car driven by a La Crosse man crossed the median of I-90 near Dresbach around 8:00 pm. The State Patrol says the man’s vehicle then rolled in the eastbound lanes and the driver “exited the vehicle” and was struck by an oncoming car and killed. He was identified as 37-year-old Laval Robinson of La Crosse. Two 18-year-old females from La Crosse were in the other vehicle. They were not hurt.
An Eveleth man was killed around 4:00 pm when the vehicle he was in lost control on an icy road and rolled into the median. The wreck happened on Highway 53 in St Louis County near Eveleth. The State Patrol identified the victim as 75-year-old Stanley Erkkila. The vehicle was driven by 67-year-old Douglas Anderson of Eveleth. He and a passenger - 47-year-old Sirkka Erkkila of Eveleth - were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of a semi-truck was killed around 11:00 pm Monday in Carver County when he drove through a roundabout and rolled. That wreck happened near Watertown. The name of the 62-year-old driver has not been released. He was from Maiden Rock, Wisconsin.
