Stewartville Man Facing DUI Charges After Attempted Beer Run
Stewartville, MN (KROC AM News) - A Stewartville man who tried to buy alcohol at a convenience store early Friday ended up in trouble.
An Olmsted County patrol deputy was notified around 1:30 AM about the incident at a Kwik Trip store in Stewartville. An employee told the deputy a man had tried to buy alcohol but was refused because he was intoxicated. The employee also said a minor was with the man.
The employee gave the deputy the license plate number of the man’s car and it was traced to the nearby home of 46-year-old Edwin Bishop. He was there when the deputy got there. The deputy suspected Bishop was intoxicated and had him take a breath test. It showed he had a blood/alcohol level of .17.
