Rochester’s Epic Annual Hockey & Bags Tournament Is Next Week!
The weather is starting to heat up, but there’s at least one more ‘cold’ event coming up in Rochester next week. The 2018 Return of the Robin tournament starts up this Wednesday, March 22nd and is going through Sunday the 25th. If you’re like me, and are fairly new to Rochester, this event has been going on for the past 30 years, so it seems like a cool tradition.
Return of the Robin is a huge city-wide hockey tournament with 22 divisions that cater to every player level. So even if you’re a total novice when it comes to hockey, you can still hit the ice no prob! They also have divisions for women and co-eds, plus tourneys for ages 30+, 40+, and 50+.
But if you want to just watch competitive hockey with a deep talent pool, there will be Top Divisions featuring former junior, college, and pro players vying for the Robin Cup. This looks really fun.
And don’t worry if you’re not that interested in playing hockey; they also have a Bags/Cornhole tournament as well – or you can be an upstanding citizen and volunteer for the event.
