Rochester Woman Reports Being Assaulted on Bike Trail
Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A Rochester woman claims she was attacked while walking on a trail in the southeast part of the city Thursday.
The woman says she was on a bike trail on the northwest side of McQuillan Park around 4:30 p.m. when a strange man approached and began calling her names.
She says the man began punching her in the face and hit her with a baseball bat. The woman says she fought back and the man left.
She initially went to Olmsted Medical Center hospital and police later gave her a ride to St. Marys. A police spokesman says the woman was not very cooperative with investigators.
