Rochester Teen Says He Was Beaten in Bogus Drug Deal
Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A Rochester teenager says he was beaten by three females after he demanded his money back in a drug-deal-gone-bad.
The 18-year-old told police he had arranged to buy three THC vaping cartridges from a 17-year-old female.
They met in a car near Apache Mall around 8:00 PM Wednesday and she gave him the cartridges and he handed her $50. When he saw the cartridges were empty, he told the female he wanted his money back. The teen says that’s when the person driving the car drove off with the victim still inside - and that’s when the three females in the vehicle began assaulting him.
He says the assault continued until the car came to a stop in the Apache Mall parking lot and he got out. He called 911 and officers later located the 17-year-old, who is facing assault and other charges.
