Rochester Firefighters Respond To Fire In Bitterly Cold Weather

Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - Rochester firefighters had to battle flames AND bitterly cold weather early Sunday.
Crews were sent to 235 11th Ave NE around 2:30 am to deal with a detached garage fire that had already spread to three nearby vehicles and was threatening a house.
Air temperatures at the time were around -15 degrees.
The Rochester Fire Department says “the garage and three vehicles were a total loss estimated at $100,000.” One firefighter suffered an undisclosed injury.
The cause is under investigation.
