Bloomington, MN (KROC AM News) - A shooting at the Mall of America Friday led to a lockdown and sent employees and shoppers running for shelter.

It also sent a man to the hospital with a gunshot wound to one of his legs.

Another man was treated at the scene for a minor graze wound. The incident happened around 4:30 pm on the third level of the huge complex.

Bloomington Deputy Police Chief Kim Clausen said the preliminary investigation indicates the shooting happened during an altercation between two men. The shooter was still being sought at last report.

Video showed New Year's Eve customers running into stores and others fled out of the mall.

Clausen said the mall bans guns but does not search customers when they enter and doesn't have a metal detector system.
