Man’s Body Found Outside Rochester Motel
Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - The Rochester Police Dept. is investigating the death of a man whose body was found outside a motel.
Officers were called to the Best Western motel near Apache Mall around 5:00 AM Monday after the body was found in the parking lot near a dumpster.
A motel key was found in his possession and officers found identification in the room. Police Capt. Casey Moilanen says they are “99-percent sure” of the man’s ID but are waiting for confirmation from the medical examiner.
Moilanen says there were no signs of physical trauma to the man’s body and it’s suspected he may have died from a medical issue or drug overdose. It’s believed the man died Sunday night or early Monday,
Moilanen says the 34-year-old man had been staying at the motel since May while doing construction work in the city.
