Lewd Behavior Led to Arrest of Rochester Man on Fugitive Warrant
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A man wanted on a fugitive warrant issued by the Minnesota Department of Corrections was captured last night in Rochester under unusual circumstances.
Rochester police Lieutenant Tom Faudskar says officers responded around 10 PM to a call about suspicious activity in the 800 block of Fourth Avenue Southeast. He says the caller was concerned because the truck with a trailer was parked in the driveway of a home that was supposed to be vacant.
The officer who responded to the call parked a short distance away to observe the property, and according to Lieutenant Faudskar, soon realized the man in the truck was performing a lewd act on himself. The officer then approached the vehicle, and after the individual refused to provide his name, identified him as 53-year-old Marvin Bale.
The officer also determined the trailer attached to the truck had been reported stolen and arrested Bale on a possession of stolen property charge. The arrest warrant issued for Bale by the Minnesota Department of Corrections stems from a drug conviction in 2017 that resulted in a 44-month prison sentence.
