Music is such an amazing gift, and I am more than grateful for so many talented performers, artists, writers & musicians that have graced my ears, heart and soul over the years.  I have such a strong connection to certain songs.  I am sure you know what I'm talking about.

Sad news about a member of 'Cry Of Love,' who only was with the group for a year. During his tenure with the band, he toured as their singer alongside Aerosmith and Robert Plant.  They had a rather awesome album back in 1993, their debut album, 'Brother'. Personally, this is a fantastic favorite from my past, and I am sad to hear of his passing, Kelly Holland, the vocalist on this 1993 album.  He was 52 and has an 18 year old son. Check out his awesome vocals on 'Peace Pipe'.   Great song.

He suffered a severe abdominal infection and was connected to medical machines. Sources close to him say that at times, he was uncertain of where he was or who he was talking to.  Sad Indeed.

My thoughts are with his son, his family and friends, his fans, and those who knew him.  I am happy I have the one album he appeared on with 'Cry Of Love.'   He went on to perform in various original and cover bands locally near his home, as life on the road with 'Cry Of Love' was difficult back in the 90's for him.  I may not have ever met him, or knew him personally, but the album and his songs were a part of my life, so I do have a connection.  I loved his work.  RIP Kelly Holland.
