He Would’ve Been 50 Years Old this Week on Friday

Every time I see his name pop-up on a blog post, in my social media
feeds, or in a video at You Tube it congers-up some emotion, be it sorrow, pure shock, or shear rock & roll delight!

I believe that if we would have been lucky enough to see him perform at the now CLOSED Wicked Moose 2 years ago Rochester, MN would still be talking about it today. Unfortunately, Dec 3rd 2015, aprox 11pm (cst) will always be etched in my mind. That is when twitter BLEW-UP, my stomach ended up in my throat, and the reality of this iconic figure from 90's rock playing a show right here in Rochester on a Friday night (12/04/15) was whisked away forever.

I was so stunned I had to break away from my keyboard and go wake my girlfriend and deliver the crushing news, for she was so looking forward to the show the next night as well. I remember sending the Z-Rock Program Director a brief Facebook message: SCOTT WEILAND IS DEAD!

Say what you will, but I'm still not over it. Perhaps in time I'm sure I'll come around. With the reality of the fact that Scott Weiland would have celebrated his 50th Birthday on Friday Oct 27th 2017, lets remember him this weekend thru the Z-Rock Facebook Page. I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that Weiland still had a TON of music inside of him.
