It's been awhile since I've done one of these posts, so I thought now was the time since GnR had the balls to do a couple of unlikely 'covers' at recent stops on their Not In This Lifetime Tour.

Axl & company obviously have some level of respect for both Soul-Motown legend James Brown, and recently deceased country music icon Glen Campbell. Are you surprised by these two particular cover songs? (I kinda am!)

Musicians paying tribute to musicians......there's certainly nothing wrong with that. In the 'I Got You' (I feel Good) cover Axl does a nice job, and Slash lays down a tasty lead-fill.

During 'Wichita Lineman', more of the same including a real nice guitar-arpeggio fill  by Saul. Seems to me that AxL & company have a history of incorporating cover songs into their repertoire & LIVE shows.

Check out these videos. OK, ok......the quality of the video and audio might SUCK a bit, but I still give GnR a big-ole 'Train Wreck' SALUTE for having the balls to cover them in the first place!
