Ghost Eye April 2018 for Next Studio Album
2017 has mostly found Ghost leader Tobias Forge dealing with legal matters concerning former players in his band and taking the current Ghost lineup on tour. But Ghost are ready to switch gears and focus on their next studio album.
During a recent interview with Children of Ghost (seen above) at the Metal Hammer Awards in Germany, Forge revealed, "We've been in the studio for about a month now. And by the end of the year, if everything goes according to plan -- knock, knock -- we're gonna have a new album, not out, but we're gonna have a new [album] recorded and mixed and delivered."
He went on to add, "Hopefully that means that we're gonna have a new album out by April, possibly, hopefully."
Back in June, Forge told the Albuquerque Journal, “Having in mind that the previous record was about the absence of God or the absence of deities, this new one is going to be about the return of God. You know, God’s wrath cast upon the suffering humans, so it will be a little bit more biblical in that sense, which in turn makes it darker, a little bit more apocalyptic, I think. That’s basically what I can tell you about it right now.”
