So... Metallica played in Antarctica over the weekend, I am glad I wasn't there.   If you ask me, it's cold enough here already.  If you'd like to watch the boys from Metallica talk about their adventure, here is a little clip of that:

Also over the weekend, Nasa determined that Antarctica is the coldest place on earth. Scientists discovered a reading of 135.8 degrees below zero by using remote sensors from satellites. Researchers took data from 32 years and analyzed it to determine that it is indeed the coldest place on Earth. If you would like to read all of their technical information, click here. 

I think they had to be nuts to want to play there in the cold. It is a little weird that the same weekend Metallica picked to play there, this data was released.  It also happened to be very cold here over the weekend.  Don't you think they should have come here instead?
