Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) – Suspects are being sought for a gun-related incident in rural Olmsted County.

A sheriff’s deputy who had made a traffic stop on Viola Rd. near County Rd 11 Monday afternoon saw another vehicle approach and noticed the driver was trying to get his attention.

The 45-year-old Eyota woman told the deputy the driver of a car who had been in front of her on County Road 11 had stopped suddenly, almost causing an accident. That’s when she saw a passenger in the car begin waving a handgun. The car then sped off and the woman spotted the deputy.

A gun was later found near the scene.
