Council ‘Levels the Playing Field’ for Cab Drivers
It's been a year since Uber, the ride-sharing business, first approached the Rochester City Council about starting up its business in Rochester. It's up and running now along with another ride-share company, Lyft.
A recent article in the Minneapolis Star-Tribune revealed how these ride-sharing companies have hurt the traditional cab companies up in the metro.
That article came up this morning (Tuesday) on Rochester's Good Morning on KROC-AM with Rochester City Council President Randy Staver. He said the Council has made some changes in the city ordinance to level the playing field for local cab companies.
Some other topics discussed were the Chateau Circle project, the Days Inn and the "Day at the Capitol." The Council President will return with more city issues on March 21st at 8:15 a.m. with Rich Peterson and Kim David.
