Uber Begins Rochester Service
Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - Uber has announced it is now operating in Rochester.
To celebrate its launch in the med city Thursday, Uber is offering two free rides to Rochester residents up to $15. The offer runs through 11:59 p.m. Sunday.
Uber contacted the city last year about setting up operations in Rochester. It took the City Council all year to craft and approve an ordinance dealing with the transportation service. Uber competitor Lyft began operations in the city last week.
Uber also started operations Thursday in Mankato and St Cloud.
