Company Surprises Employees With $10-Million Christmas Bonus

It's going to be a very merry Christmas for the 198 employees at St. John Properties. The Maryland real-estate firm surprised its employees with a huge holiday bonus. According to Fox 29, the employees will split 10-million dollars which breaks out to approximately $50,000 per person. The television station spoke to one employee that said, “What happened was magical. It is life-changing.”

Don't expect $50K, but CNBC says most will get something. They conducted a survey that shows two-thirds of companies will give employees some sort of bonus for the holidays.  Do you get a bonus? According to a survey by Accounting Principals the average holiday bonus is $858.
