Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A Rochester man has been given one of the longest sentences for a sexual assault conviction in Olmsted County history.

Sentenced Monday to 27 ½ years in prison was 36-year-old Corey Bingham. He was convicted of 1st-degree criminal sexual conduct by an Olmsted County jury in September.

Bingham was accused of sexually assaulting a woman he knew in February 2017. The woman told police she had been drinking with Bingham and that they “had a lot to drink.” She told police “the next thing she remembered” was Bingham sexually assaulting her. Bingham told police the sex was consensual.

Bingham has a history of domestic abuse and assault cases, including one in 2012 that resulted in a three-year prison sentence.
