Bride Angry Guest Brought To-Go Containers to Reception to Raid Buffet

What are the current rules of etiquette for wedding receptions? Are you allowed to barely know the bride, and come to the wedding with ten Tupperware containers not as a gift, but to take food from the buffet...all without asking the couple?

Appropriate behavior or not, that's what happened at a wedding reception in Pennsylvania recently. The story comes from a wedding group that sounds too good to be true. The group, "That's It I'm Wedding Shaming." is filled with people venting, letting off steam, and other folks laughing their butts off. According to her post, which you can see here,

My husband and I had a small wedding ceremony and reception...only close family and a handful of friends. I invited my dad's bff, so he'd have someone to socialize with...a few days before the wedding, my dad's friend asked him if it was OK if it daughter and her husband came, and I didn't have a problem with it. She loaded up 7 Tupperware containers with food to take home, took about 2 containers of homemade cookies, a couple bottles of beer, and most the centerpieces.
