Banana Attack Leads To Arrest

I have heard of some rather strange objects being used as weapons, but a banana?  36 year old Phillip Joseph Smolinsky was arrested on New Year's Day in Florida and charged with domestic battery and resisting arrest without violence.  Him and his wife had been fighting and he claims that she threw the banana at him, and her story is that he threw the banana at her.  Police mentioned that Phillip had to be pepper-sprayed during this incident.  That's a way to start off 2014, get into a food fight and land in jail on New Year's. He is currently being held without bail.  When you think about it, even when a banana doesn't sound like it would make a good weapon, I would bet if someone threw one at you it would hurt.
