The "Hand of Doom" trophies have been handed out, the performances were incredible and the hangovers / bangovers have begun. The first-ever 2017 Loudwire Music Awards ceremony and concert descended on The Novo in downtown Los Angeles on Oct. 24, aligning some of the biggest rock and metal stars on the planet, including two crucial figures, heavy metal pioneers Tony Iommi and Rob Halford, who are dually responsible for everything we had to celebrate.

For over four hours, the 2017 Loudwire Music Awards dominated television, phone and computer screens, airing live on AXS TV and streaming on Facebook. You saw the acceptance speeches, which ranged from touching to wickedly arrogant (yeah you, Power Trip!), some of the more outrageous presentations, theatrical sets... the list goes on. There's plenty of action the video cameras didn't catch though, but the cameras backstage did!

Where else are you going to see shots of Megadeth's Dave Mustaine flashing the horns with the Metal God himself, Rob Halford? Or two of the 'Big 4' drummers together and speaking of 'em, we should've had an award for "Best Dressed" and it clearly would've gone to Anthrax's Charlie Benante for his white Stormtrooper suit. Did you know Gary Holt takes selfies? Who can blame a guy when he's standing next to a mortal god like Steve Vai? We even found Coco and Ice-T hanging backstage and where else would you find Vinnie Paul but the VIP lounge?

Slap on your "All Access" pass and pour through everything you didn't see at the 2017 Loudwire Music Awards in the gallery below... and maybe indulge in some hair of the dog while you're at it.
