A Chris Cornell Retrospective
Yesterday I posted my thoughts on the passing of Chris Cornell. At the time that I had written that particular post, authorities had suspected a possible suicide. I was to find out later on that indeed, Cornell had committed suicide by hanging himself.
Despite how his life came to end, he was a remarkably talented artist who has left behind a legacy of some of the most defining music of his time. In the post I wrote yesterday I had originally intended to post a few of his tunes in order to showcase some of his music, whether it was with his groundbreaking grunge band, Soundgarden, or with the supergroup Audioslave, or with Temple of the Dog, a band dedicated to his late friend, Andrew Wood. After I started writing yesterday, I decided that the tone of that particular post wasn't conducive to including music, so I decided to share that side of Cornell in today's post. I decide to pick a couple of songs from each band that he's performed in as well as his solo career in memoriam of Chris Cornell.
