I’ve lived in Faribault my entire life but my wife and I enjoy traveling all around Minnesota as well as the surrounding states. When I’m not at work I’m usually spending time with my grandchildren and my grown children. I enjoy going to watch the Vikings, especially at US Bank Stadium, concerts, taking my wife to various musicals and going out to eat… I really enjoy that, as my bathroom scale can attest. I love music and spend a lot of time on the weekends looking for CDs of big hair bands that I don’t currently have in my collection.

Take a Train-Themed Trip Through Minnesota
On our vacations, as a child and now as an adult, I never miss a chance to stop and check out the various train depots and museums scattered across the country. Recently I came across an article on Facebook about a train themed road trip through Minnesota.

If you think you have a crappy job then you need to take a look at the one of the duties of Dennison's mayor, Jeff Flaten. On the plus side, he works for the Minnesota Department of Corrections and is the mayor of the friendly little town of Dennison, which are both very rewarding jobs in their own right...
Summertime is Tubing Time
One of my favorite summer activities is enjoying a cold beverage while relaxing on an inner tube as it slowly drifts down a lazy river. Unfortunately I haven't had a chance to to do just that for several years now. The closest I get to doing a little tubing is on one the lazy rivers in the many water parks my family and I have enjoyed over the years...
What Are These Strange Balls in the Minnesota Woods?
If you plan on spending any time in the Ely area this summer, don't be surprised by the strange balls of branches and sticks that decorate the landscape at some of the local national forest campgrounds. It was really hard to miss them as there are several dozen of them at the honor campground that I recently stayed at...
A Chris Cornell Retrospective
Yesterday I posted my thoughts on the passing of Chris Cornell. At the time that I had written that particular post, authorities had suspected a possible suicide. I was to find out later on that indeed, Cornell had committed suicide by hanging himself...

According to RoadsideAmerica.com, there are other balls of twine making this same claim to fame, but only one was created by a single individual over years of patiently adding to its size...
