17 Years in Prison for Brutal Assault on Rochester Woman
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Rochester man has been sentenced to a total of 17 years in prison for a brutal assault on a woman who was held captive in her home.
An Olmsted County jury convicted 43-year-old Eric Narveson at the end of a trial last fall. He was accused of holding the woman against her will and repeatedly sexually and physically assaulting her during an ordeal that lasted nearly 24 hours in April of 2015.
The victim finally managed to escape from the home in the 1200 block of 7th Avenue Southeast and ran to a nearby house to call for help. Narveson was gone when police arrived at the scene, but he was located and arrested several hours later.
He had previously faced a gross misdemeanor domestic abuse charge stemming from an incident involving the same victim.
