Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A Rochester woman who ignored her parking tickets is now facing more troubles.

A city parking control officer spotted the woman’s car Wednesday outside her apartment and called for a tow truck. City policy calls for the impounding of a vehicle that has been tagged for at least 5 parking violations that have not been paid.

The owner of the vehicle  - 26-year-old Ayor Achichol - confronted the officer. The officer told Achichol she would not call a tow truck if the woman paid the tickets. That’s when the officer said Achichol gave her a “shoulder check” that caused some pain and left her hand numb. When she called a patrol officer to the scene, Achichol said she was going to City Hall to pay the tickets and drove off.

The officer found out later Achichol did not pay the tickets. She is now facing 5th-degree assault and disorderly conduct charges. She was also charged with driving without a license, the same charge she pleaded guilty to in October.
