Just north of Spooner in Trego, Wisconsin, you'll find the home station for the Wisconsin Great Northern Railroad.

This railroad offers a series of couples and family train rides throughout the year, including dinner train rides and sightseeing train rides, but when the holiday season rolls around, things get festive aboard the railroad, too!

The Holiday Wine Train is one of two Christmas-themed train rides the railroad offers each season. This one is for the adults only, offering a two-hour train ride through the beautiful Wisconsin Northwoods along with wine, music, and more.

What's included on the Holiday Wine Train?

The railroad explains that your ticket includes a holiday wine from Wisconsin's Door Penninsula Winery as well as hot and cold hors d’oeuvres, some soft holiday music, and traditional decorations aboard.

There is also a full cash bar and you might even get the chance to enjoy a toast with Santa!

The family-friendly train ride is their Christmas pizza party train ride. This two-hour train ride includes a personal pizza for each ticket as well as your first beverage free, a visit with Santa, a holiday cookie, and hot chocolate.

Each family of up to 6 gets a private dining space as part of their trip, and you also get the chance to visit Santa's private train car, which offers some awesome photo opportunities!
