It's a small detail that you might not have even noticed. I didn't notice it at all until I saw a post from the Vikings about the small change. The Vikings for the 2019-2020 campaign have tweaked their helmet color to a lighter shade of purple. Check out the comparison below. 

On the left is the new more purplier* (is that even a word) helmet and on the right is last years helmet.

I don't know I guess the 'old' helmet made more shadows on the helmet than the 'new' one does, but couldn't that be a lighting thing?

Maybe this new purple gets the team over the mental hump in the playoffs. Or maybe it's something we can point to if the wheels fall off.
