REVIEW: Is The Rochester Burger King’s ‘Impossible Whopper’ Any Good?
In case you haven't heard, Burger King just released a new item on the menu called the 'Impossible Whopper.' Why is it so impossible, you may ask? Because the patty is completely made from plants...meaning it's a meatless, vegetarian Whopper. So obviously, I needed to find out for myself if it's any good. For SCIENCE~!
So what's the ultimate verdict? I'm not sure what exactly I was expecting here, but I was surprised to find out that it's...actually pretty good. Guaranteed, it's been a while since I've had a Whopper, but I honestly could barely taste the difference between a meat patty and the 'Impossible' version. At the very least, it blends in well with the other ingredients. I'd even go so far as to say that the 'Impossible' patty tastes more 'real' than a McDonald's patty does.
If you're a vegetarian, thinking about becoming a vegetarian, or just feeling adventurous, I'd recommend giving this bad boy a try and see what you think. It might have been mind over matter, but it was nice to devour a large Whopper in less than a minute and not feel gross afterwards.
