Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - Two people were stabbed Saturday during a reported gun-involved robbery inside a Rochester home.

Rochester police were called to a home in the 1300 block of Cascade St NW around 2:00 PM where the incident took place.

RPD Sgt. Steven Beery says three females were in the home when three males arrived. The females knew one of the males and all three were allowed into the residence. Beery says one of the males then took out a handgun, picked up a purse and bag and the three fled.

But one of the males “realized he had left his cell phone in the house” and went back to retrieve it.

Beery says the females tried holding him until officers arrived and the juvenile male “punched two of the victims, knocking one unconscious.” One of the females grabbed a knife to protect herself and "while defending herself she stabbed the male.” He took the knife away, stabbed the female and then fled. He was found nearby by police.

Beery says the juvenile and the female he stabbed needed medical treatment for their injuries, which were described as non-life threatening.
