Last night an accident was reported at 7:35 P.M. at a busy Faribault intersection. The two-vehicle crash, involving two people from Faribault, happened at the intersection of Highway 21 and Highway 60. The State Patrol reported that one driver suffered what were described as non-life threatening injuries from the crash. 

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, at 7:35 P.M. a 1999 Lincoln Towncar, driven by 47-year-old Cassandra Swanson of Faribault, was traveling southbound on Highway 21 and was in the lefthand turn lane attempting to go eastbound onto Highway 60. At the same time, a 2011 Toyota, driven by 25-year-old Yunifer Kengere of Faribault, was traveling northbound on Highway 21.

The State Patrol reported that the Lincoln Towncar when they were turning left, did so directly in front of Toyota causing the crash.

The report indicated that Kengere suffered non-life threatening injuries in the crash and was taken to District One hospital in Faribault.

Road conditions at the time of the crash were reported dry. Also responding to the scene of the crash were the Faribault Police Department, Faribault Fire Department, and Mayo Ambulance.
