Two MN Men Honored For Saving Woman Dangling From I-94 Bridge
There are some moments when a person has to make a quick choice and show their true character. This is a pretty powerful moment where two people did this, and it took place up in St. Paul.
Recently, a young woman attempted to take her own life by jumping off a freeway bridge over I-94. Thankfully, two strangers were there to grab her hand and shirt through a chain-link fence to keep her from plummeting down.
Think about that for a second – they literally had this woman’s life in their hands. Another amazing part? They were able to hold on to her for fifteen minutes until police officers arrived on the scene. Wow. Based on the report of the event, this was a very intense and emotional situation. They attempted to reassure her after she kept telling them that nobody loved her. I can’t imagine how both exhausted and wired those two must have been afterwards.
After the young woman was rescued, she was taken to a nearby medical facility for further treatment. I’m really hoping she can get the help she needs, and that this moment can lead to a positive change going forward. I’m rooting for you, wherever you are.
The two men, Bill Boursaw and Kelando Roberts, were since honored by the St. Paul Police Chief. Well done, guys.
